Stephen Taylor is the President of Morguard Investments Limited, a real estate advisory company providing a full range of portfolio, asset and property management services across Canada. Established in 1975, Morguard was a pioneer in introducing real estate investment to Canadian pension funds and, with over $8 billion in assets under management, continues as one of the nation’s largest and leading real estate managers. Morguard Investments is a wholly owned subsidiary of Morguard Corporation, a real estate company that is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “MRC”.
Prior to joining Morguard in 1998, Stephen had over 20 years experience providing acquisition, disposition and asset management services to a major Canadian financial institution and two large development companies. |

Biographical Sketch - Michael A.J. Catford
Michael Catford is Vice President, Real Estate for the Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). He is also President of HOOPP Realty Inc., the Plan’s principal real estate holding company.
In these capacities, he and his colleagues are responsible for the acquisition, disposition, portfolio management and selected asset management of all direct and indirect real estate investments made by HOOPP. The portfolio comprises office, industrial retail and multi-residential properties in all major Canadian markets and interests in a number of value add and opportunistic funds, both domestic and non-domestic. It also has an active development programme in the industrial and office sectors. The portfolio now has a gross market value of $4.0 billion.
Prior to joining HOOPP in 1996, Mr. Catford’s real estate career has included the provision of consultancy and advisory services, an extensive period with Royal LePage in both brokerage and advisory capacities and store location work with Eaton’s.
Mr. Catford originally qualified as a City Planner and holds a Masters of Science Degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts Degree magna cum laude from the State University of New York. |

Ted Welter, Managing Director, Real Estate & Mortgage Service, has been part of the Real Estate team at Greystone Managed Investments fort he past 13 years. He assumed the leadership role for the team in 1996, and continues to hold senior responsibility for mortgage and real estate investing, product development and portfolio management. As leader of the Real Estate team and one of the firm’s key investment professionals, Ted is a member of Greystone’s Asset Strategy team, which oversees investment management at Greystone. As Managing Director, Ted is also part of the senior executive team, setting and guiding strategic direction for the firm.
Before joining Greystone, Ted held progressively responsible positions as a property and portfolio manager with several eastern Canadian real estate management firms. Through these varied positions, he has gained more than 20 years of experience in all facets of the real estate an mortgage industry.
