Bernd Knobloch, Chairman of the Board Eurohypo AG & Member of the Board Commerzbank AG, Frankfurt am Main
Bernd Knobloch was named member of the Board of Managing Directors of Commerzbank in 2006 and concurrently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Eurohypo AG since 2004. In his role, Knobloch oversees the bank’s commercial real estate business, including its asset management with a value of over € 40 billion.
Knobloch joined Frankfurter Hypothekenbank, Deutsche Bank Group, as Member of the Board in 1992. In 2002, he led the merger of Germany’s three real estate banks to create Europe’s largest real estate bank Eurohypo AG.
Prior to this, Knobloch was Managing Partner of Allgemeine Bautraegergesellschaft mbH - Cederbaum und Partner KG, Munich.
Knobloch received a degree in business administration, as well as a J.D. degree from Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, Germany.
