Frank Mertgen, Deputy Editor in Chief, FOCUS-MONEY, Munich

Frank Mertgen is Vice-Editor in Chief and Section Head of Markets of FOCUS-MONEY. After earning his Masters degree (Diplom) in Journalism at the University of Munich, and as graduate of the German Journalist School in Munich, Frank Mertgen began his career in 1990 as Business Editor at Abendzeitung München and became Section Head of Economics in 1993. In 2000 he moved to FOCUS-MONEY and took over the Service section in 2002. He also took over the Politics section at MONEY-Week at the end of 2002, and became Vice-Editor in Chief and Head of Markets at FOCUS-MONEY two months later. Frank Mertgen is Visiting Lecturer at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg as well as Lecturer at the German Journalist School and the Academy of the Bavarian Press.
 
Bernd Knobloch, Formerly Chairman of the Board Eurohypo AG & formerly Member of the Board Commerzbank AG, Frankfurt am Main

Bernd Knobloch was named member of the Board of Managing Directors of Commerzbank in 2006 and concurrently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Eurohypo AG since 2004. In his role, Knobloch oversees the bank’s commercial real estate business, including its asset management with a value of over € 40 billion.
Knobloch joined Frankfurter Hypothekenbank, Deutsche Bank Group, as Member of the Board in 1992. In 2002, he led the merger of Germany’s three real estate banks to create Europe’s largest real estate bank Eurohypo AG.
Prior to this, Knobloch was Managing Partner of Allgemeine Bautraegergesellschaft mbH - Cederbaum und Partner KG, Munich.
Knobloch received a degree in business administration, as well as a J.D. degree from Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, Germany.

Bernhard Visker, Member of the Board, HSH Nordbank AG, Hamburg

Bernhard Visker is Member of the Management Board of HSH Nordbank AG. The qualified bank officer started his professional career at Hamburgische Landesbank, where he became Head of the Saxony and Thuringia representative office in 1993, Head of the Berlin and Brandenburg branch in 1998 and Head of the International Real Estate Finance Business Unit in 2000. From 2001 to 2003 he was Deputy Head of the Ship Finance Business Unit of Hamburgische Landesbank, then he became Head of the Real Estate Business Unit of Landesbank Schleswig-Holstein, respectively since June 2003 HSH Nordbank AG. Since 1 January 2007 he is Member of the Management Board.
