Ruud de Wit, Editor in Chief, Vastgoedmarkt, The Hague/Netherlands

Ruud de Wit, 59, is editor-in-chief of two real estate publications: Vastgoedmarkt is the leading property monthly in the Netherlands since 1974, while the pan-European publication VGM/Real Estate exists since 2006.
De Wit has a degree in Dutch language and literature on the University of Amsterdam and was for 15 years foreign correspondent in Suriname, Southern Africa and Spain/Portugal. He was also for seven years member of the Management Team of the Dutch regional newspaper Limburgs Dagblad. De Wit is married and has three children.
Arnold de Haan, Principal & Vice Chairman, Meyer Bergman, London/UK

Arnold de Haan is Principal & Vice Chairman of Meyer Bergman Group since 2007. He is a member of the Investment Committee and focuses on both acquisitions and asset management. Previously from 2005 to 2007, Arnold de Haan was CEO of Multi Development Corporation, one of the largest commercial property developer in Europe, which was acquired by Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund MSREF in 2006. Prior to leading Multi Development Corporation, Arnold de Haan was Managing Director of Commerz Grundbesitz-Investment CGI, the management company of Germany’s open ended property fund, Haus Invest Europa. As Managing Director, Arnold de Haan was responsible for overseeing all of the fund’s acquisition, due diligence, asset management and disposition activities and was involved in over twelve billion Euros in acquisitions and dispositions representing more than 200 retail, office and other properties. From 1989 to 1994, Arnold de Haan held two key positions: he was the Managing Director of VWN Management, a Dutch Commercial real estate company with investment volume of 200 million Euros where he also coordinated the company’s listing on the Amsterdam stock exchange; and he was an equity partner in European Metropolitan Property Services, a property development and asset management company with activities in Germany, France, Belgium and The Netherlands. Arnold de Haan began his career as a company lawyer starting in 1977, and rose to Managing Director for Wereldhave/Interned Holding N.V. before departing in 1989. Arnold de Haan graduated from the University of Utrecht with a degree in planning law.
 
Pieter van de Kimmenade, General Manager Netherlands, Aareal Bank, Amsterdam/Netherlands

Pieter is the General Manager of the Amsterdam Branch of Aareal Bank AG. He set up the offices for Aareal in 1991. Aareal Bank is one of the leading international property banks and operates on three continents. Leveraging its successful European business model, the bank has established similar platforms in North-America and the Asia-Pacific region. It provides property financing in more than 25 countries. Pieter has worked in the Dutch property market for almost 20 years. Prior to Aareal he worked with Citibank and Continental Bank in the corporate sector with an emphasis on construction & engineering and publishing.

Christian Thalhammer, CEO, AKRON-Group, Vienna/Austria

Dipl. Ing. J. Christian Thalhammer is a co-founder of the AKRON-Group in 1994.
He has extensive experience in government, (personal assistant to the Federal Minister of Transportation and State owned Industries), marketing (Director of Marketing & Sales, Alcatel Austria) and finance (former Member of the Board of Directors of the real estate investment specialists group VPM AG).
