Richard William Macdonald, CEO, Landmark Property Bulgaria, Luxemburg
Richard William Machdonald is the CEO of Landmark Property Bulgaria, a property investment and management company. The company has a portfolio of property assets valued in excess of Eur 240 million. He previously acted as Investment Director at Latham Yeomans (chartered surveyors) based in London. In addition to this he also co-established LSP.
From 2000 to 2006 Mr. Macdonald was active as an Investment Director and Investment Surveyor at Latham Yeomans. In July 2004, in association with London based chartered surveyors, Latham Yeomans he established Premier Apartments BG, a residential estate agency in Bulgaria, and invested successfully in development land for the development of a shopping centre in Sofia and various apartment buildings. In 2005, Richard completed transactions with a value in excess of £120 million for clients including Fordgate, REIT, Gort Securities, Memory Crystal, Land of Leather and Waterbridge Investment Partners and he acted on behalf of major clients in the acquisition and disposal of UK investment properties.
From April 2006 to December 2007 he was the chairman of the Management Board of Bridgecorp and Landmark. His duties were: building and actively managing a portfolio of assets worth over Eur 200 million in Bulgaria, ranging from income producing properties to development opportunities, expanding Landmark's business in Bulgaria with a view to becoming the largest property owner in the country, deal structuring responsibility, acquisitions; initial setting up of the whole financial structure of the company, oversight of all accounting activities, reviewing and approving all Vat and Tax Returns, managing cash flows and providing three months forecasts, creating budgets process by department and overall analyzing variances from budgets and recommend corrective action and day-to-day running of the company. He was responsible for the strategic development and growth of the company and he was a member of the investment team that decides on all investments in the country.
On 12th December 2007 Richard Macdonald and Tanya Kosseva through their investment vehicle, Bridgecorp, completed a Management Buyout of the Landmark group in Bulgaria and Turkey for 210million euro. This deal was the largest property transaction ever completed in Bulgaria at this time. The MBO was completed with the assistance of Alfa Developments AD and was funded by Alfa Finance AD, Postbank, Raiffeissen Bank and Bank Austria.

Peter Oberlechner is partner und lawyer at Wolf Theiss.
He graduated at the University of Vienna in the year 1982. From 1982 to 1989 he was a political secretary. In the year of 1989 he worked as a law clerk. From 1990 to 1991 he was an associate at Hoehne & Vana. 1991 he was the head of the Minister’s Office at the Federal Austrian Ministry of Environment. At Binder Groesswang and Partners, he worked as an associate from 1993 to 1994. As a foreign associate he worked in Corporate International Department of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, and Colt & Mosle in New York from 1994 to 1995.
From 1995 to 1999 he was a partner at Cerha Hempel and Speigelfeld.
Now Mr. Oberlechner is a partner and lawyer at Wolf Theiss. Mr. Oberlechner speaks German, English, and French.
