Dr. Jutta Falkner ist Geschäftsführerin der OWC Verlag für Außenwirtschaft GmbH in Münster und auch die Herausgeberin der Wirtschaftsmagazine Ost-West-Contact und China-Contact.
Im Jahr 1977/78 war Frau Dr. Falkner als Voluntär bei der Tageszeitung „Das Volk“ in Erfurt tätig und begann anschließend bei dieser als Redakteurin zu arbeiten. Danach war Frau Dr. Falkner an der Karl-Marx-Universität in Leipzig von 1983-1987 als wissenschaftliche Assistentin tätig. In der Zeitspanne von 1988 bis 1990 war Sie Redakteurin des Wirtschaftsmagazins Trade and Technical Review in Berlon.
1990 bis 1993 leitete sie als Chefredakteurin das Wirtschaftsmagazin Ost-West-Contact, in Bonn. Seit dem Jahr 1994 ist sie Geschäftsführerin des OWC Verlag für Außenwirtschaft GmbH in Münster.
Sie studierte Journalismus/Kommunikation an der Karl-Marx –Universität und am Institut für Internationale Beziehungen in Leipzig. Sie führte auch Promotion zu Fragen der internationalen Entwicklungstendenzen im Bereich Tageszeitungen aus.
Frau Dr. Falkner ist verheiratet und hat einen Sohn. |

Jessica Buckley, Investment Manager, Scot Holland
Jessica Buckley is the investment manager of Scot Holland. From 1998 to 2002 she attended Jesus College, University of Oxford. After that she attended Reading University and in October 2005 she became Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).
From September 2003 to November 2007 she was active in LaSalle Investment Management as a Investment Surveyor in London in England. There she proactively sourced investment product for UK funds, and was responsible for executing detailed financial analysis of prospective sales and purchases for three major funds, including significant number of geared and ungeared analyses. Her other duties and responsibilities were sole responsibility for running due diligence process for numerous sales and acquisitions, involving extensive interaction with agents, banks, JV partners and solicitors, active involvement in negotiating structure of JV agreements, adept at structuring deal finance. Comprehensive working knowledge of senior and mezzanine finance to boost returns, leading involvement in re-negotiating terms for finance payments and ongoing terms of bank debt facility and experienced in negotiating Heads of Terms for acquisitions and disposals. Since January 2008 she works as an Investment Manager at ScotHolland CV Richard Ellis in Almaty, Kazakhstan. There she is responsible for developing business opportunities in all sectors of the Kazakhstan real estate industry and introducing corporate “best practice” across all business lines. Ms. Buckley prepares complex financial analyses and detailed investment particulars for investment product and JV and development opportunities for office, retail, hotel and industrial uses, and operates on a pan European, Middle-Eastern, Asian, Russian and CIS basis, maximising opportunities to cross sell ideas and secure clients across the region. She has a managerial position in consulting services team producing market studies, feasibility studies, financial appraisals and investment analyses for all real estate sectors and is a core member of senior management and business development team, responding to RFPs and presenting at client pitch/presentations across all business lines. Overall Ms. Buckley has a responsibility for establishing the investment brokerage team in an emerging market.

Bahitbek Katen is the Managing Director of NAI Kazakhstan Aristan. He attended the middle-eastern Technical University in Ankara. He has a Magistrate of the Kazakh National Technical Univerrsity of Satpaev.
Katen has has experience of preparing real estate market researches, rendering of the professional brokerage services, he has formed a wide base of corporate clients (developers, retailers, investors) when working in the team of Colliers International, consulting company. He was the head of the sales depatment of the MAG Construction company, where he was founding the departhment from “zero cycle” and also he was engaged in the sales of the “Zhastar” project (Kurmangazy –Mukanov str., Almaty). He had an experience of consulting and and brokerage activities in the area of the real estate investments in UAE. He occupied the position of the vice-president in the Investment Development Management Corporation (IDMC), development company that develops and manages property assets in several cities of Kazakhstan. Bahitbek was responsible for strategic business development and attraction of the major corporate investors.
Now Bahitbek Katen executes the operational management of the Aristan Property Advisers including strategic management, negotiations with corprate clients, control of the current projects. |

Marc T. Lerch has been working in the German Real Estate industry in research, marketing and sales since 1997.
In spring 2007 Marc joined C.A.B. Invest GmbH - a company with a strong German residential real estate portfolio - to develop sustainable Real Estate investments in the emerging markets of Central Asia, Central Eastern and Eastern Europe. Today Marc is heading a team of experts based in Germany and the target countries. In addition he and his team have build in the target regions a powerful network of preferred partnerships with legal, financial and technical advisors, as well as with architects.
Marc’s team is highly specialized in identifying reliable JV partners and attractive investment opportunities in emerging markets open to accept a Western business approach, while maintaining the higher return opportunities compared to already matured markets.
Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia and Serbia are the current focus countries. Mexico, Turkey and Mongolia are the next countries to come.
Especially in Kazakhstan, C.A.B. Invest is holding a leading position among German investment companies with regard to market knowledge and market access. This enables Marc’s team to identify and arrange the best match between international investors and domestic high-profile developers.
Marc sees Kazakhstan as a compelling alternative within the CIS destinations. In the aftermath of the political and financial turmoils during the recent weeks Kazakhstan stands out as the stable and predictable oil and gas giant in Central Asia. Kazakhstan has cleary demonstrated its attactiveness for reasonable international investments - beneficial for both: investors and developers.
C.A.B. Invest is inviting investors to participate in the launch of C.A.B's first commercial Real Estate fund in the CEE/ CIS countries in the near future.
Marc T. Lerch was born in Hannover/ Germany. He lives in Berlin, where the company’s headquarter is based.
