EXPO REAL 2007: Even Bigger and More International
|
- New exhibitor record: 1,740 companies from 41 countries
- 20 percent more area: EXPO REAL 2007 on 63,000 square meters
- Further increased interest from foreign countries
- High demand from the United Arab Emirates and Russia
From 8 to 10 October 2007, 1,740 companies from 41 countries will exhibit at EXPO REAL 2007 (as of August 2007). There were 1,638 companies from 40 countries at the previous fair. That is 100 companies more than in 2006. The International Trade Fair for Commercial Real Estate will again grow by one additional exhibition hall and consequently occupy six halls and 63,000 square meters, which corresponds to an area growth of 20 percent. A total of 432 of exhibiting companies come from other countries. They will occupy almost one-third of exhibition area. Consequently, the EXPO REAL is taking part in the trend of the great deal of international interest in the German real estate market. Last year alone, commercial real estate worth approximately 50 billion euros was sold in Germany, which corresponds to an increase of 141 percent compared to the previous year. "One-tenth of every dollar worldwide and one-fifth in Europe of commercial real estate investments were made directly in in Germany in 2006," Marcus Lemli, Head of the Capital Market at Jones Lang LaSalle Deutschland, stated. Experts expect even higher investments in 2007.
The increased international demand at EXPO REAL 2007 comes both from Western European countries such as England, France and Spain as well as from Eastern European markets such as Poland and Croatia. Above all, regions from Northern and Southern Europe are increasing their presence EXPO REAL. Sweden doubled its number of exhibitors, and Latvia, Macedonia and Ukraine will be represented in Munich for the first time. All of these participants in the international real estate market use EXPO REAL 2007 to present their latest developments and projects, cultivate cross-border networks and find new partners.
The construction and development boom of spectacular office, residential and hotel projects as well as shopping centers in the United Arab Emirates is also having an effect on EXPO REAL 2007; the number of exhibiting companies has tripled compared to the previous event. The strong demand from the Russian Federation is just as striking. An increasing number of developers, cities and regions as well as the cities with millions of inhabitants Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinenburg and Kazanare are interested in the real estate trade fair.
